In 1992, the state of San Andreas, a sizable island with three cities, was created. Los Santos, modeled after Los Angeles, combined posh downtown districts with the violent ghettos of South Central; San Fierro, modeled after San Francisco, replicated the city’s rolling hills and persistent fog; and Las Venturas, a brilliant parody of Las Vegas, featuring a strip full of casinos and the surrounding desert. Much like in the earlier games, you make the greatest progress by finishing tasks for different characters. These missions follow the same format as the ones you’ve seen in the series’ earlier games.
